Nightmares come next month to Montreal to celebrate Friday the 13th

We're still two months away from Halloween but the city of Montreal has decided to start celebrating one month ahead of time. If you're a real fan of horror and the macabre get ready this September when the Verdun Art Festival comes to town to celebrate Friday the 13th with a circus of horror.

This is the fifth edition of the festival, and it will be located on Wellington Rue. The two nights of fall will be filled with horror movie showings, street entertainment, DJs playing horror music, live rock and metal music, as well as other street shows ready to scare the pants of anyone, only those brave enough may survive.

The festival encourages goers to get dressed in their Halloween best. Get your plastic machetes and Jason Vorhees hockey mask ready for the occasion, everyone can dress to impress, but mostly to scare. Be ready to see some monsters ready to follow behind

And don't forget to sign up as well for the Limbo Contest, that is more than willing to break a few backs to those who are in search of Fame and glory. So, come and give it a try.

And of course, what festival would be complete without food and drinks? There will be BBQ and other food stall around the area to feed the hungry hordes of zombies. Will hot sauces ready to melt your taste buds, take chance and explore.

Thirsty? You'll be covered, there will be more than plenty to drink around. You can try from beer, cider, kombucha and various wines from the area. Anything you need to calm the heats from the underworld.

Admission to the event is completely free, the event will be held on Wellington Due between Third and Fourth Avenue. Be sure to come and enjoy a night of horror with family and friends.
