Trump proposes new tarrifs on Mexican goods as means to fix immigration problem

Through his Twitter account, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, informed that he will implement new tariffs for Mexico.

All this happens while the countries of Canada, Mexico and the United States are still discussing the new deal for free trade. But this announcement leaves little room for a peaceful settlement.

The new tariff facility that will be made in all products imported from Mexico to the United States, will start on June 10 with 5%, in July it will increase to 10% and so on until it reaches a permanent level of 25%.

Trump's new threat comes in response to the situation of illegal migrants who have reached the country's southern border. Trump mentioned in his Twitter account that this is done with the goal of Mexico taking care of more of its southern border and preventing migrants from entering there.

All after the event a few days ago where 1,000 immigrants were detained crossing the border, Border Patrol agents received the group that was made up mostly of families, which according to the report were delivered if resistance. This has been for the moment the largest group that has been arrested.

Not only that, but also mention that in this way you can return those American companies working from Mexico. that the rates will be revoked when Mexico takes control of the migratory situation. As was the case with GM Motors, most of its parts manufacture is located in Mexico.

Previously Trump had mentioned in April that, if the situation on the border did not improve, the most likely would have to close borders to prevent access. He took his words back and made the suggestion to implement new rates to put pressure on Mexico and to "do its job".

The new rate facility is expected to take effect on June 10, according to the words of the president of the United States.
