The United States has been trying to convince Mexico for months to become a safe country for asylum seekers, and has signed agreements with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras with the same objective. But, meanwhile, activists in favor of immigrants are pressuring Canadian justice to decree that the United States is not a safe country, so that the thousands of asylum seekers who have crossed the northern border can stay there. Nine family members of the LeBaron family were massacred a couple of days ago by drug cartels in the Mexican state of Sonora. The victims were 3 women and 6 children. Family of the victims are completely distraught and horrified at the events and are urging to take the help that the U.S. government is offering to fight the drug cartels. Canada is one of the only developed countries in the world that does not have a nationwide drinking water standard. Even countries that struggle to provide safe drinking water have established acceptable lead levels: India's is 10 ppb and Mexico and Egypt's are 5 ppb, according to those country's government websites. A true horror night this Halloween, after a triple stabbing and multiple shootings

The Toronto area suffered a violent Halloween night after multiple stabbings and shootings took place during the last day of the month. The chaos occurred during widespread power outages throughout the City of Toronto caused by strong winds that dislodged branches and damaged power lines. Police were called at around 11:40 p.m. Thursday, for complaints of a noisy party with at least 200 attendees at a fraternity house near the corner of Madison and Lowther avenues in midtown Toronto. Shooting leaves a neighborhood in fear, with one dead and three injured

Officers arriving at the scene found three men with ages from 17, 26 and 42. They were found on the ground in front of a convenience store with gunshot wounds to their lower body. Police say at least one attacker approached them on foot and opened fire in the store’s parking lot. While there was one death, that of Abdu, a young man of 23 years of age. Sadly, through the shooting that took place on Thursday, the young man body was left destroyed by the gunfire. The 23-year-old victim lived with his parents. New York State Police Troop have put up a sign on the way to I-190, towards the Peace Bridge, warning visitors, that guns are not allowed at the United States/Canada border without proper paperwork. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have needed to put this warning up after they kept seeing an increase of guns approaching their checkpoints. Protesters in Montreal completely shut down the Jacques-Cartier Bridge after climbing it to the top this morning. The activists, part of Extinction Rebellion, were attempting to hang several banners. On Tuesday the protest took place and this week marks the week of International Rebellion by activist group Extinction Rebellion and on Tuesday they decided to climb the Montreal's Jacques-Cartier Bridge. The bridge was closed on both directions as teams were attempting to bring the activists back down to the ground.
