Uber may not have enough driver for Vancouver area

The application Uber is looking to come to the city of Vancouver, but a shortage on drivers might make it hard for the app to provide service outside the Metro Vancouver area. This being because British Columbia regulations for ride hailing have not yet been met by drivers who apply to work for the ride service app. Both Uber representative and the B.C. government are looking to finalize on decisions on whether the app will launch in the area depending on the policies that are agreed upon by the Passenger Transportation Board in the middle of August. Toronto neighborhood residents can’t handle the parties anymore

Many might know the website Airbnb, which helps people to find affordable and beautiful houses, apartments, condos, etc. to rent for a short period of time. Mainly used by tourist and visitor. But this has become a problem for a neighborhood where residents were being plagued by ongoing parties on a property used by the Airbnb website. 3 children detained at O’ Hare Airport by immigration agents

Three children who are American citizens were held by immigration agents for several hours at O'Hare International Airport on Thursday after arriving from Mexico with a relative, who reportedly mentioned because the adult they were traveling with was "considered inadmissible" to Enter the United States with the three children under 9, 10 and 13 years. Mention is made that U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers detained minors as a way of hooking in order to detain their parents who are said to be not American citizens and reside in the country illegally. Canadians can now expect to have their information collected at the border

The announcement was made on Thursday by the Department of Homeland Security, any legal citizen from Canada can now expect at the time of crossing the northern border to have their information collected, this will include things like complete name, date of birth and gender. This comes as part of the Beyond the Border Action Plan, the agreement came to be in 2011 and was made together by President Barack Obama and then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper, to help approach issues that have to do with security and economic competitiveness. Mayor of Chicago denies ICE access to CPD files

With the announcement that raid on illegal immigrants would start this past Sunday, Chicago mayor announced that the Chicago Police Department would not be allowing access to ICE agents, the police’s department’s databases. Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that the city of Chicago will protect all of its families. She will halt any police involvement with Immigration and Custom Services, and are not allowed to lend any assistance or cooperate with them in the raids. Man throws himself from Niagara Falls and lives

A Canadian man going through a difficult moment in his life or as official said it “in a crisis”, tried to commit suicides by throwing himself over Niagara Falls in the early hours on Tuesday. Police officers say that the man was seen jumping to the river around 4 A.M. and was then pulled by the strong currents that would eventually sweep him over Horseshoe Falls, the largest part of the world-renowned falls.
